About

Where to start? Well I was born in England to Irish parents who decided they wanted to come home when I was around the age of 12.  I have been living in Ireland for something like 19 years now and absolutely love it here, wouldn’t trade it for anything!

I’m married with two little monsters angels, I’m a stay at home mum who loves to cook/bake, I’m addicted to cook books and have gathered quite a few in the last couple of years which I’ll list on here at some stage.  Also a part-time weight watcher (should be full-time but I get distracted too easily!) have been on and off for the last ten years (each time saying “THIS is it. This time I’m determined etc.)

I’ve been reading various blogs for about a year now, all the time thinking that I could do something like that also but with a small son at home, getting the time to do so was proving very difficult.  Now he has started at Montessori so I am finding myself with a spare couple of hours so I decided to give it a blast.  This blog is very definitely a work in progress, it’s the first time I’ve ever tried anything like this and at the moment it shows! In time when I learn a bit more hopefully it will improve too.  So follow me on a journey if you will, as I learn more about food and cooking, sharing my views and experiences along the way all views are my own some you might like, some you might not but if everybody liked all the same things it would be a very boring world altogether!

So there you go.  Come on in, sit back, relax and Welcome to Mammy’s Kitchen xx
